Takealot refusing to accept return

I returned a brand new unopened item to takealot - still in the original box takealot delivered it in. I was informed 2 days later they would not accept the return due to it being "late".

Considering I am a frequent customer of the site, that spends thousands of rands monthly/yearly - some sort of provision could have been made considering the item was never even OPENED.

Takealot should have tried to make a plan to accept the brand new item - instead of wasting courier time and money sending the item back and forth.
