Takealot refuses to refund me for their bad quality and damaged goods

I ordered a sleeper couch and it arrived on the 4th of June retailing at R2600. I unwrapped it and was poorly assembled or made: the couch was haphazardly stapled, it had a hole on the side, the stuffing was protruding from the bottom of the couch and the wooden legs advertised where actually metal and there was literally no place to install the legs, I took pictures and requested a refund as a voucher. It was then collected on the 7th. I hadn’t heard anything and decided to email them on the 13th to which they responded and said, the refund would take 3-5 business days to be cleared. Fast forward to the 19th, I get a cal from the courier company inquiring about my whereabouts so as to deliver the couch. I refuse and check my emails. Turns out, they emailed me on the 18th detailing how they refused the refund due to “user damage” accompanied by pictures of new damages that were clearly not there when I had the couch (remember, I took pictures). I sent them the pictures to refute the damages they discovered upon assessing the couch. They then doubled down on not giving me the refund stating that I chose the wrong option for reason to return citing that I chose “Product did not meet my expectations” versus “Product is damaged”- semantics if you ask me but they are urging me to take the couch back and then they will revisit my refund. How? They have all the evidence they need to determine that I couldn’t have caused that much damage in literally 2 days. Also, based off the pictures I sent, they can see how there was evident poor workmanship but they are still refusing to give me my money. Upon my own investigation, the couch has been given dismally bad reviews with regards to quality. I am distraught because R2600 is a lot of money to lose: I would advise against using Takealot more so when it comes to furniture, they will do some pretty ********* things just to ensure you don’t get your money back
