Takealot refused to refund a product that was not used

They refused to refund a phone case, saying it was used. It was returned in its original packaging. I cannot use the phone cover as I do not even own the model of phone that the cover is for. They proceeded to send me photos of the phone cover saying it is used, and yet they removed it from its packaging and it is in immaculate condition. ***

I own an oppo, how am I going to use an iPhone cover!?!?
