TAKEALOT refuse to refund ****** iPad.

I bought an iPad mini 6 from TAKEALOT in March 2024. On the 4th of July 2025, the police came to inform me that the iPad I have, has been ****** from a mining company. Apparently, the iPads were bought for the mining company, and it got ****** from their premises even before the iPads were used. By mid-June 2025, the Police had already contacted TAKEALOT and got the MEI numbers of all the ****** iPads. The ****** iPads somehow got into the hands of a syndicate who – pretending to be a supplier, sold them to TAKEALOT. My iPad was consequently confiscated, and a case was opened at our police station. I have the POL case number and copies of the police documents. I was informed by the Sergeant that the iPad is an exhibit in a court case and that I will not be able to get it back. I was in contact with TAKEALOT via email and phone many times every week to get a refund for my iPad. Now six weeks later, the person, Celeste, I spoke to this morning (2025/07/31), informed me that since TAKEALOT are not in possession of my iPad anymore, I cannot claim a refund!
