Takealot refuse to refund after we received a badly damaged and badly made item.

We bought a king size headboard from Takealot. We only opened the headboard after a week as we were busy painting and waited for our new bed to arrive. When we opened it, it looked like an old second hand headboard. It was covered in dust and wooden shavings. There was not enough sponge both ends, the material on the left hand side was badly damaged and the one button was hanging out. We took pictures and returned it immediately. Then Takealot could not find this massive headboard for 2 weeks. They refuse to refund as they could not find the item. Then they said they only refund within 7 days. Then they said that the outside of the box is damaged after two weeks in their stores. I returned it due to manufacturing faults and not because I changed my mind. It is terrible service that you refuse to give me a credit for an item that is so badly made with photos as proof. While we are still communicating regarding this as it is nothing that we did wrong, you send your truck t deliver it to us. We have to be happy with an damaged headboard that looks secondhand. NO person would be happy to receive a headboard with so many manufacturing faults! Shame on you - will NEVER EVER buy from you again as you promised that if an item does not work or is damaged you will refund a client, but that is ALL LIES!!
