Takealot Promo voucher deactivated

I was handed a Takealot voucher whilst out shopping at a local mall.<br> the voucher was for a R100 discount if the order was placed on the Takealot app.<br> There is a code on the voucher which should be entered when making payment.<br> I tried to make a purchase using the voucher.<br> Received an error saying: Customer does not qualify for coupon.<br> I mailed this to Takealot who at first said I was entering the code incorrectly. <br> I mailed them back to show that I had entered it correctly.<br> I then received this response:<br> <br> Regrettably we have to inform you that this promotion has been deactivated.<br> The code was made public through various unauthorised online platforms, and users were abusing the T&Cs by registering on multiple profiles and redeeming the code on multiple occassions.<br> Therefore in accordance with clause 2 of our T&Cs we have deactivated the campaign.<br> [URL Removed]<br> <br> I think this is absolutely pathetic. This company markets itself with discount vouchers and then deactivates them. That is terrible marketing and bad practice. Surely it is not difficult to deactivate a voucher after one person redeems it like loading airtime.<br> <br> What a pathetic excuse.
