Takealot - pricing

In April, I ordered two items from Takealot (***) – both items were “available / in stock”. I received a message confirming delivery of the items. Upon collection, I discovered that the one item was not included. I received an email informing me that the item had been “lost in transit”. I received another message informing me that the item was “damaged”. I then requested that, as I still required this “damaged/lost” item, I would add this to my Takealot “wish list” which I did. I also requested that, upon purchase, the delivery charge should be waived as I had already paid the delivery charge. I received an email confirming the “delivery waiving fee.” I continuously checked the site to see whether the item was back in stock and noticed that it was now on special for R82,00 but still not in stock. Eventually, the item was back in stock (but it had somehow was removed from my wish list). I telephoned Takealot to arrange the waiving of the delivery fee and was told that my account would be credited with R30,00 (which it was). However, the item cost on the first order was R179,00 - the item was now R199,00 – R20,00 more. I left ordering the item for a day and noticed that the price was now R229,00 (R30 more – the exact amount of my credit)! Today, the price is now R300,00 ! How does an item go from R179,00 to R82,00 to R199,00 to R229,00 to R300,00?
