Takealot poor service

The website promises "shipping within 5 to 7 working days. Beware of working days - if there are public holidays and weekends this can extend to 14 days as happened to me. It needs explaining as to why, in this age of electronic communication, there should be such a delay. Computers don't stop working over weekends and public holidays and it seems that there's nothing to prevent a supplier delivering an order immediately or at the very least on the next working day - especially if payment has been made in advance. I was also disappointed in the manner in which I was spoken to by a person from the customer care department. There was no hint of an apology and direct questions were evaded.
