Takealot Pathetic Customer Service

i bought a Hoover - Wet & Dry Hand Vacuum Cleaner from Takealot. After 6 months the adapter and battery swelled which then caused the adapter casing to split in half. Thereafter lockdown happened, i emailed hoover within my 12 month warranty, no response till today. I then decided to contact Takealot because i had no luck at hoover which then ended up being just after the warranty ended (this was due to a death in my home and then being quarantined because of a covid positive family member). They promised a return and refund after understanding my situation. Then after a week, i was told theres no proof that i contacted Hoover. They gave me the run around and then stopped replying to my emails. Really disappointed in takealot because i normally find them quite helpful.
