TAKEALOT ORDER DISASTERS

I have been a very loyal supporter and customer of Takealot for many years. I have promoted and recommended Takelot to everyone I know, singing their praises because orders and deliveries were performed to absolute perfection.

Sadly, Takelot have in the past few months taken a nose dive. The quality of products small appliances and gadgets seemed to be perfect. However, the past 4 months or so, I've ordered things and had to return them as the items were dective and faulty.

At the beginning of July 2022, I placed a order and patiently awaited the arrival. The most needed and important item ordered, an Electronic Neck Massager, Takealot had about 9 or 10 identical looking items to choose from - and having consulted with a Physiothe****** Proffessor where ee spent almost 4 hours reviewing each items features and specifications in order for me to purchase the one best suited to my issues. I have acute Osteoporosis and extensive Compression fractures of the spine, which causes hellish, debilitating, extreme pain. I take 4 different pain tablets as well as Morphine to control these pain levels.

Anyway, the order arrived and the massager that hsd been ordered was not the item ordered. The item delivered was a huge bulky cumbersome unit.

I logged a return of the item, as well as wrote an email to Takelot's CEO Mr Frederick Zietsman, where I complained about the situation.

I got a number of responses from BrandonS, IkraamS and was offered the choice of any of the models they had in stock to the value of R300.00.

Once again it was another review and I selected the model that I originally desired but as my only income is a SASSA Old Age Pension, I could not afford, so had to opt for a lower priced model.

I was instructed to attach a picture of the model of choice and email this, which I did (Cervical Vertebra Physiotherapy Neck Massager Model no. GG-Q-T151 with Remote Control Price R283.00)

A week later, the item eventually arrived - and to my absolute displeasure and disgust on opening the item discovered item "Intelligent Cervical Massage Instrument - Model KS-996-2C" with a small barcode sticker stuck onto the box of the item with the name and model no of the item I had selected. This item has no remote control either.

Once again, I submitted a complaint and now have to log another return.

I will not in future recommend Takealot to anyone else and don't know if,I will do any further business with Takealot - the service has gone to the dogs in a hand basket.
