Takealot order

I ordered an DVD player from Takealot listed on the website as HDMI capable, after paying for the item I read the reviews and saw that various people complained t5hat it have not got the HDMI ports. I cancelled my order about an hour after paying and got the following response from them: (note no reference to refunding my payment) Inathi.L (takealot.com) Mar 5, 2024, 16:39 GMT+2 Hi Gerde Thank you for contacting Takealot.com. We have reviewed this order and have determined that we are unable to cancel order *** as it is already in the picking and packing process To cancel the order at this point, we can offer you two solutions: 1. You may contact us to request a cancellation once you receive an SMS which advises you on the date your order will be delivered (This is usually received a day before delivery). Once this SMS is received and contact is made with us, we are able to cancel your order at the delivery branch. 2. If you fail to contact us upon receipt of the SMS and the order is dispatched for delivery, you may reject the order once the driver arrives at the delivery address.
