Order number: ***2 Where do I start, this is going to be a treat!

Firstly, I wait all day for my parcel to arrive, only to be notified at the end of the day that the delivery guy could not deliver due to the recipient (me) not being available. How strange, when I was home the entire day, with the front door wide open, a doorbell to ring, watchdogs that bark and a back up generator turning on during load shedding. This makes it near impossible for this situation to happen. Yet it did!

So I try to contact Takealot, the phone rings and I choose option 2 for delivery complaints - This option takes me to Mr Delivery Food! Hahahahaha what a joke! They then redirect me and the phone goes dead. Let’s summarize this long winded phone call hack though...an hour and a half spent on the line (I have the screenshot to prove it) and they finally seem to have located the issue. I then get a call back from a lady, with phone number *** at 17:58pm, divulges that the delivery guy on duty went to the incorrect GPS co ordinates and did not even come to my house today. He did not call me either despite the instructions given to call! She then promises me that there will be a delivery guy coming through shortly to deliver the parcel. Guess what happened...NOTHING. This woman on duty for Takealot blatantly lies to me over the phone.

I will be taking matters further and take this to the Consumer Rights Protection Act.

If you have an ounce of dignity to making your customers happy and keeping your customers, you will make this right and sort out this order.
