TakeAlot of time and effort and quite frankly not worth the hassle.

I was notified yesterday that my delivery will be taking place today between 8AM and 5PM. I made the necessary arrangements to ensure that I will be home to receive this. At 12:30pm I was sent an SMS stating that they tried to deliver my order, but were unable. I was not even called by the courier (which is standard procedure in my opinion). Within 5 minutes I phoned the TakeAlot support team. They said that they will phone the courier to follow-up on the delivery status. An hour later I phoned them back myself because I had not heard anything yet. They then sent me an email after the call stating "Our delivery team has confirmed that delivery has already been attempted today for both orders. Regrettably the delivery cannot be reattempted today. Your delivery will take place on Monday." Again, I pushed back, because there are still 5 hours left of the time-window to "revisit" my address (although security camera footage confirms they were never here). I additionally requested why the delivery cannot be reattempted today as I phoned them within 5 minutes of receiving the "Delivery failed" notification. The final excuse was a bit ridiculous. "Kindly note that the delivery team has responded stating that this is a remote area and therefore delivery cannot be reattempted today"....and I live in Pretoria, Villieria. "We will ensure that a note is left on the delivery system requesting that our drivers call you on arrival." ...since when is this not standard??? I clearly saw that further correspondence with the TakeAlot team would not bear any fruits whatsoever, so I am resorting to leaving my review here.

Questioning my loyalty towards TakeAlot, as the previous few deliveries were also not handled in a professional manner (read - broken items being delivered)

Reviewer Update
This situation is growing worse by the day. As suspected, Monday has come by and by 15:30 I have still not had any additional feedback from TakeAlot. I had to load another R60 of airtime to phone them today (R180 total so far) just to be told that "The delivery was never booked by the courier team, although they sent you SMS'es on Friday stating that the order will be delivered on Monday." Are you being serious takealot? For every bit of feedback I've received so far, I've had to make phone calls to takealot myself. They don't seem to have ANY system in place to actually follow-through on promises made. Each and every time that the delivery gets rescheduled, I have to make arrangements anew for the new date to ensure that I can be home to receive it. Now the delivery has been rescheduled (AGAIN) for Tue 30 January. Frankly at this point they can keep the package.
