TakeAlot of Chances with clients’ money
Ordered a fan that was delivered with missing parts under Order #***. The fan was returned under reference MRRN-N5OQW-Y9ND on 12 October 2024 and a replacement was requested. The defective fan was collected on 16 October 2024. On 16 October 2024 a replacement fan was scheduled from delivery under Order #*** and subsequently delivered on 18 October 2024. The fan arrived with the weight plates broken off the base unit. A return was logged under MRRN-CKNPM-VM65 and a confirmation of refund email received on the 18th of October 2024 with a refund lead time of 3-5 days. The broken fan collected on Monday 21 October 2024. On 25 October 2024 I logged a support call under Ticket *** with Wakheni T. Responding this evening advising that a full credit has been processed and is available on my account, stating I must submit banking details if I want a refund. Banking details have been submitted and I now await my money to be refunded, which is already much later than the company’s promised refund date as per their email and refund policy. No calls, no investigations, and certainly no attempt to restore my financial position. I have requested that my delivery charge of R 75 be refunded as well, whilst the R 5 donation is to be delivered to the NPO which is intended to receive the accompanying donation in any event.
Why do I have to bear the financial losses of a botched delivery (twice) for the sake of a corporate institution's bottom line? How can I be expected to pay for delivery when the delivery had to ubdergo reverse logistics because of a supplier/Takealot error? How much money goes into the pockets of Takealot shareholders whilst the customera suffer...this reeks of a #TakealotMustFall campaign to break the monopoly and give a voice to the customers.
Who else has had this experience? It would be quite interesting to see a class action suit in the High Court against Takealot's policies, practices and skirting of responsibilities.
@Takealot - if you want to fix things, pay my money back. If you want to escalate the matter, let's go to court over R75 and your excessively grandiose reputation (which will fall in this matter).
