Takealot not up to standard

I ordered a compression tester from Takealot, but only needed to use it after about 12 days. When I wanted to use it, it was only then that i unwrapped and opened it, I found that it was incomplete. I contacted Takelot and advised them of the problem. They sent a driver to collect it for replacement. After a couple of days I received a parcel from them. When I went to use it I found that they had returned the original incomplete one. When I asked them why they had returned it, their response was that I had taken longer than 7 days to bring the problem to them. I feel that if they supply an incomplete set from one of their suppliers, they should take it up with that supplier and not pass it on to me. Besides I feel it could be ******* to supply something which is not as advertised.
