takealot not returning my money OR replacing defective product

MRRN- Z8GBP-PZPM I bought a solar unit on 29 January. It was delivered on 3 February with a battery casing that was in several pieces. I logged the return within minutes of receiving it. It was picked up on 6 February. Since then its status has not changed - received by returns evaluation facility. What kind of service is this? Apart from the utter inconvenience, I am without the product AND my money!
