Takealot not honouring manufacturers warranties and extended warranties

I purchased a Bennett Read blender from Takealot in March last year. Per the user manual it comes with a 1 year warranty and you can elect to have it extended to a 2 year warranty. I duly app**** and got the extended warranty. True to Murphy the thing stopped working on Thursday. I tried logging a return / fault with Takealot. Their system says it only has a 6 month warranty. So I messaged them on their system only to be told it has a 6 month warranty. No response to my having told them in my message that I have a 2 year warranty - I even provided the reference to them. Not worth buying electrical appliances from Takealot if they don't honour warranties.
