Takealot not honoring their hassle free returns promise, don't buy Dell

I purchased a Dell laptop via Takealot.com, when I received the product was shocked by the poor build quality and requested for a refund. The issue started at this point as Takealot told me they can't action the refund, I have to contact Dell directly. At no point prior to that moment, nor when I purchased the product did Takealot inform me that any returns will have to be done directly with the supplier. The issue then got worse as despite spending 10min and 20min respectively on Dell's customer care line there was no one to take my call. I purchased the product from Takealot, and Takealot made a hassle free returns promise. Now I have to run after Dell who is not attending to their customer care line. The second issue is that I have tried to change the return category, and Takealot haven't actioned it despite numerous requests. I'm appalled by both Takealot and Dell's customer service, and resistance to resolving the issue.
