Takealot not honoring guaranteed delivery of supposedly in-stock items

I made a purchase where the guaranteed date of delivery was 27 Jan 2023 as this item was listed in stock. On 27 Jan 2023 suddenly the availability of the product changed with no communication from Takealot around the reasoning thereof or apologise for falsely advertising in stock items and guaranteed delivery date.

Friends are flying in from Cape Town for Thursday where we will have a birthday party and we want to present them with this gift. I’m emigrating later in February 2023 so this will be the last opportunity to see them and give this to them next week. Thanks to this unprofessional service I won’t have the item delivered in time as guaranteed by Takealot. Escalated this twice to support and the answer is just “it is what it is”. Completely unsatisfied with this poor service.
