Takealot moving towards ******** clients.

I purchased 8 mosquito killer lamps from Takealot. When the consignment arrived I took 3 units out to test. Of the 3 units 2 failed to operate according to the manufacurer's description. The lamp operated but the high voltage zapper circuit did not destroy insects as it should. No insects were killed by those two units. As an electronics engineer, acquainted with quality control procedures, this is cause for rejecting a consignment. When I returned the consignment Takealot declined by return saying my reasons for returning were not valid. I have been suckered by poor quality Chinese products on several occasions where I have had no recourse because the company is hidden away in a distant land and they wash their hands on the case. Now it is happening in my own country where Takealot, instead of insuring customer satisfaction, they are switching to protecting suppliers or manufacturers. I will not accept faulty products being dumped on me and told I have no option but to take it.
