Takealot more like Waitalot

Ordered from Takealot for birthday item on 4 June 2024 all items were in stock. Their website displayed a "Guaranteed Saturday delivery" Great, just in time for the birthday.

So no delivery time is given you just have to wait all day for them to show. Waited the whole day on Saturday, no delivery !! Wasted my entire day waiting for a delivery that never came when I could have gone out and bought something else.

It's difficult to complain around late deliveries as their website doesn't give the option, hmmm I wonder why that is ???

Sent a complaint email and noticed that the delivery was then rescheduled to be delivered on Sunday before 19h00. Again no delivery time. I wasn't going anywhere on Sunday so I waited in all day. Guess what ! NO DELIVERY AGAIN.

It's now nearly 12H30 on Monday and their website still says Delivery Sun 9 June 2024 (in case they were planning on delivering in 2025) before 19h00. NO DELIVERY, NO COMMUNICATION.

Not the first time Takealot have messed me around with delivery. Either it's late or badly packaged and no apologies or explanation.
