Takealot... More like ****alot

So I bought gaming earphones from takealot, they were just shy of R600. Two days after gifting them to my partner they snapped. They looked proper and good quality but after close inspection, the extention part if the earphones are made from cheap alice-band tipe plastic. I then looked at the reviews just to see if anybody else had a problem and there was one review saying 'dont buy these, broke within 10 days. I should have read the review. So i asked takealot if I can return them, they said yes I can bring them in for inspection. Drove then 39km to Brackenfell. 2min after dropping them off, takealot declined my return. Saying that it broke from usage.who does a review of a product within 2minutes? Um yes, a headphone has to go over your head, and if it is made from cheap plastic that cant bend when being put on the head, it will snap. I wish I could load photos on here for you to see just how unpractical they were made, from thin hard plastic. So i dont hear a thing back, I send them a mail 2 weeks after I dropped the earphones off, then only do they let me know they rejected my return logged as "sub-standard quality product" and said now i have to go fetch them at Milnerton. Drive the 32km to milnerton only come home empty handed, no they dont know where they are, I must come fetch them another day. I obviously refused and said they must courier them to me as they are wasting my time and my petrol. I complained with customer care, but still waiting on feedback and its been a month. Since i logged my return for sub-standard product all of a sudden theres tons of great reviews on the product and its gone on sale. Obviously them knowing its **** quality and they want to get rid of it. They are super quick to take your money but afterwards they dont care. Not even two weeks after having them back and ducktaping the hell out if them, the other side snaps. Cheap, **** quality plastic. Why do they allow you to return something as an 'sub-standard' quality product if they have absolutely no intention of doing anything about it.
