TakeALot misleads customers by advertising goods not in stock.

I placed an order with www.takealot.com on June 2nd for a bottle of Finery Gin. They then happily SMS’d me to say that the order will be delivered no later then Thursday 4th June. As it got later to the afternoon on the 4th, I got worried as I had not received an SMS to explain the delay, so I dediced to go check their app, and I navigated to messages to find that they now shyly tell me that my order will be only delivered on Thursday 11th June. Bear in mind, we cannot purchase alcohol after a Thursday in South Africa in Level 3, so they basically ruined my weekend for me by not sending an SMS in time so I could make alternative arrangements. Then they send another message to say that my order will once again be delayed from Thursday 11th June, to Monday 15th??? After they gladly took my money, and I have no further recourse to changing my order at least to a different Gin, yet they are boasting all over social media that they deliver alcohol promptly during these trying times. In fact they are misleading customers by falsely advertising products that are not in stock. We get these are challenging times because of Lockdown and Covid19, so don’t advertise products that cannot be bottled and produced or you are just lying to your customers. You should be giving me options like an alternative product or a voucher to use on something else because this is just ridiculous and my money could be spent elsewhere. They correspond via mail to apologize to say June 15th is not a given, it might arrive earlier. This morning they messaged to say it will arrive tomorrow. This evening they message to say it will arrive on Monday. Once again on a Thursday they let me down with no bottle stores open from Friday to Sunday. I actually feel targeted.
