Takealot Misleading Advertising (*****?)

I am disgusted with Takealot's behaviour and attitude to a sale that went wrong.

We ordered a Laptop (https://www.takealot.com/hp-notebook-255-g7-amd-a4-9125-4gb-1tb-5400rpm/PLID***6) from Takealot, and paid in full the advertised price of R4399, showing as In Stock in Cape Town.

Two days later, we get a message from Takelot that the order has been cancelled due to no stock, and my money will be held in credit by Takealot. (!!)

On checking the site the next day, I see that the machine is still showing at the same price and as In Stock in Cape Town. Left a Call-back request.

Wait a full day and a half.

The Agent checks and says "yes" - he sees the same, and will investigate and revert to me.

That night I receive email stating that: "We have received feedback that this item is now only available through a market place seller and the price is listed higher as they control the value of their listed items on the takealot.com website.

We know this is not how you have expected this order to proceed however, when it comes to items listed by a seller, we cannot guarantee the price or discount this item currently listed."

No "What can we do to make this right"

No "Here is a similar offer you may be interested in"

Just "This is how we play. Deal with it"

So let's pretend they don't have strict controls in place for their supplier/sellers:

What they basically say is "We'll advertise stuff and take money from you but have no intention of validating the transactions. If the wheels fall off, we keep your money so you can't buy it elsewhere, and you must just buy something else you don't actually want or need."

Offer to Sell Offer accepted and paid for.

Sale cancelled and money not returned.

Falls neatly into the definition of misleading advertising and possibly even *****, the way I see it.
