Takealot Loosealot

Dear hello peter staff. I have used Takealot for about 6 years spending thousands of Rands with them with no hassles at all and only had good things to say about their products and service until about 4 months ago I bought a Canon printer from them costing R1200.00 and 3 toner cartridge's for my Xerox printer for R300.00. About 3 months after receiving the printer it started giving strange intermittent faults. I contacted Takealot with my problem but was told they do not handle the manufacturers guarantee and gave me a number to phone which I did only to be told that they do not do repairs, they don't replace and they don't refund. I contacted Takealot a few times but they ignored my letters.SO there I lost R1200.00. Then a week after my disappointment came to light I received another surprise from them. The Toner cartridges I received from them for my Xerox printer 3045 was also totally the wrong thing. The one I want is a long flat one but they sent me one round the size of a condensed milk tin. My order said a toner cartridge for a Xerox 3045 and they say on the add that theirs is compatible with the 3045.When I wrote back to Takealot they said that this product is not returnable. I went back on this add an at the bottom in small print it says "this product is not returnable "SO there I lost another R300.00. The worst of it all is that Takealot was not interested to even talk to me especially being shuts an old customer. Very Sad. Best Regards Denzil Terblanche
