Takealot - literally taking as much as they can from you

I'm trying to support local companies but ******* is Takealot making it hard. Until they stop being a **** company I'll use Amazon. I'm not saying Amazon isn't shady in some ways, I know they discretely dodge taxes, but at least they don't transparently **** your ass.

Here's a story: - My girlfriend orders R4500 worth of textbooks. - They're on discount so she pays R3800. - Two of them are in **** condition (My condolences to whoever Takealot passes them off to next). - She returns those two. - She paid R1405.90 for those two books, but only gets R1003.00 back. - She says, "Where's the rest?". - Takealot says that the discount was app**** to all the books, so when she returned two they took the discount away for all her books.

In summary, she is now left with a dozen expensive books that she bought with a discount, but Takealot stripped the discount on all of them so they wouldn't have to refund her as much.

Having to rate them on a scale of 1-5 implies they earned at least a one.
