Takealot lies!

I am not happy... I have been running in circles to try and sort out an order from Takealot that was incorrect.

1. I placed an order for a Salton - 30 Litre Mini Kitchen Oven, order number #***3. 2. The order was delivered but it was the incorrect model, it was the 23L oven. The package was not opened and remained closed as it was received. 3. I subsequently logged a return, and clearly stated that I want the item replaced with the correct one and delivered again, return reference = RRN-39f4-f93c 4. The item was picked up for return.

Then it all went wrong...

1. My account was credited and the item was not replaced as I had requested.

So I decided I'll just order it again right, but... 1. The item has now increased in price by R300. I was not willing to pay this additional R300 when I had paid less for the same item not even a week ago. 2. I logged another request explaining the above situation and was told that the item was not available; which is a lie by the way, I can still order the same item from your website as it stands today, 14th October 2020.

Not great Takealot...

1. I don't appreciate the fact that the item was not replaced with the correct item as I have requested. 2. I don't appreciate being **** to about the fact that the item was not available anymore, when it was.

Clearly Takealot thinks they are almighty. That they have some sort of a monopoly and don't have to listen and can lie to their customers. I've made the decision to never use Takealot again. I looked for the same item somewhere else, and surprise-surprise... Takealot is NOT the cheapest. I can get the same item from another store for a WHOPPING R843 cheaper, even with delivery!! And I can pay with my eBucks!! And I can pick it up for FREE from a store around the corner!!

I've been supporting Takealot for years now, since they took over kalahari.net, who remembers them. They will probably not reply to this, why would you if you think you are almighty. I'm done now, you can keep on thinking you are almighty and don't have to listen to clients. You've just lost a customer, I will never shop from you again and will ensure that I make as many people aware of what you are doing.
