Takealot knowingly sells 1 star rated hoover vacuum cleaner.

I purchased a hoover vacuum cleaner which sat in storage brand new until I moved to KZN in august. As soon as I started using the machine it overheated. I kept trying. Constantly ensuring the filter was clean. Then I went onto takealot reviews of the hoover only to find 20 other 1 star reviews saying the same thing. It is obviously a manufacturing default. I asked that a manager from the buyers department contact me. No-one is allowing me to speak to a manager. I keep being told repeatedly that my query has been escalated and that we must wait for the buying team to investigate. Now I get a message back today to say my vacuum is being repaired. How long will I have to deal with this ******* machine until it breaks again. It cost R1800. Takealot is misleading the public by continuing to sell a useless product and no-one will let me speak to a manager about it! I am going to the consumer ombudsman about this! It is wrong what you are doing! Look at my account? See how much I have spent with takealot? It will be my last ever order with you **********!
