Takealot Issues

Ordered things which showed shipping within 5 to 7 working days on the items. They then changed the date for the stuff to be delivered end of December which would still have been fine. Now they changed it again to be shipped only on 30 December and received only on 4 January 2023.

They now have "why wait for your order" where they trick you to pay more to have your stuff earlier. Why pay more if their own internal shipping turnaround time is annotated? They just want to **** you out of your hard earned money.

There should be some accountability and someone should really investigate their policies. Ordered something a month ago and got some totally irrelevant item not even closely related to what I ordered, but got a refund at least. Now I am scared to order the same item due to this.

Went on Google with the current purchase and saw an item for a decent price from them. I immediately logged into Takealot with my sign-on to order the item at that price and on their site it was over R1000 more than advertised on Google. I went back to Google and added it to my cart from there. That was the only way to get it for that price. I find that disturbing.

Their service has dropped substantially from previous years and there is no accountability. People (me included) should boycott them for a bit. Just to force them to jack up their service.

Or someone else must please start a similar site and give them some healthy competition. The bigger they get the less efficient they are.
