Takealot is taking customers for granted.

We purchased a round table glass top at takealot that was going for R2799 on the 7th of Feb 2026. When the delivery date arrived, we did not get our table rather they refunded the money back on the app on the basis that the supplier was out of stock. They didn't bother contacting us to find out if we were willing to wait for stock. The funny part was that the item was still orderable on the app and it was almost R200 cheaper. I ordered again and guess what, they delivered the table without the tampered glasses. I logged a return and chose the item replacement only for them to return the money back on the app again on the bases that the price went up. The lack of customer service is just out of control. I actually think that delivering the table with some items missing was a calculated move and they never intended to deliver the item in the first place. I am livid over this experience, I think it's high time i take my support elsewhere and the lack of proper competition does not help much.
