takealot is not taking responsibility for incompatible cartridges from Ink Warehouse

I purchased the HP 912XL/912 Compatible Inkjet Cartridges Multipack from Takealot in October 2024 for R998. Unfortunately, my HP printer does not recognise the cartridges, rendering them unusable. Takealot refuses to accept a return or provide a refund despite the defective product. This is unacceptable and amounts to ********* business practice. Customers should be warned—this purchase is effectively theft.
