Takealot is more like *****alot

<div>I recently purchased an e-book from Takealot.com but mistakenly paid for the exact same book twice. I contacted them and they did come back to me promptly but insist that they have made every possible attempt on their website, to make the public aware of the different types of products that cannot be returned, e-books being one such product. They are simply unwilling to refund me and I find that absolutely appalling business practice. What they're basically saying is if a customer errs, based on the fact that their payment interface was sufficiently misleading and complicated to confuse someone, then they take no responsibility and in my case are R300 richer at my expense. I don't particularly care what arrangement they have with their suppliers as pertains to e-books. It's a flawed system because it makes no provision for errors to be rectified. Customers are allowed to make errors. As far as I am concerned this is **********, not in the sense that I have not received my goods but in the fact that I am not allowed to exchange them or get a refund for whatever reason. I feel cheated and I have made it quite clear to them that I will not be using their services again and that their policy is essentially theft. People err, it happens, but if their attitude is simply "your problem, not mine" then I believe this should be addressed. Beware! Don't make a mistake! Takealot will show their true values, which are certainly misleading on their OUR VALUES website page. They should actually be called&nbsp; *****alot .&nbsp;</div>
