TAKEALOT IS BECOMING A ****

I am appalled at the service I got from Takealot after supporting them for so long. I bought a mobile cupboard which unfortunately was not sturdy enough for my shoes. The return was approved and it was collected. The issue was returning the funds to my bank account. I got an email stating that they cannot refund me because my reason for the return was that I did not need the item. This was of course untrue, I had stated my reason as "Did not meet my expectations' I even exaplained that the item was not sturdy enough. Before the return request, I discovered that there were parts missing. I then emailed telling them about this. I was asked to diassemble and return the whole unit. After so much work I was not ready to do that, I just wanted the missing parts.

As it turned out, the unit was not sturdy and kept falling, hence when I requested a return, stating that my expectations were not met. No need for missing parts because their unit was definitely not suitable for storing shoes.

To cut a long story short, they are refusing to return my money because they claim I said I did not want the item anymore. I have sent them a screen shot showing what I wrote as my reason for the return. Proving that they are lying and twisting everything to justify not returning my money. This is the 2nd week since they collected the item and almost 3days since I sent them the proof of what my reason was for the return. I am still waiting

I have been supporting Takealot for more than 5 years but I will not be suportting them after this experience. It is clear that they want customers to credit their takealot account , not return the money to your bank account What a shame!
