Takealot is a glorified and overpriced china shop

What an absolute disgrace, takealot is such a big and well known business but never in my life have I ever been this dissatisfied. Ordered free same day delivery with a TakealotMORE trial, then one of my bigger items could not make the same day delivery because of negligence, and no my item was not out of country or bigger than 1.4m (which is criterion that must be met in order for a parcel to be delivered same day) - that was the first red flag. The bigger item was moved to the next day to deliver. Second red flag, as the delivery man gave me my smaller parcel (the one that came same day) I immediately saw product seeping out of the box, to be met with a bottle of body wash that was obviously carelessly thrown into the box, therefore opening the nozzle of the bottle causing loss of product and a mess on all my other products. Their service is absolutely **** and I would never buy from them again, and to add, Takealot sells knock off products. I ordered a Eucerin skin balm worth R110 and was shocked to see a product not even manufactured in SA as there was overseas language on it. It is ridiculous and absolutely disgraceful how a company can **** people like takealot is. PLEASE BEWARE OF THE THINGS YOU BUY. Also always check a dischem or clicks price on an item before ordering on takealot, saw a product that sells for R40 at dischem and is being sold on takealot for R170. No one can convince me that this company isn't the biggets **** yet.
