Takealot IS *****

Takealot's processes and systems have gone down the drain.

I got a far inferior product than expected, then had to return it for a refund, specifying return to the original payment method. The parcel was picked up on the Monday morning, but by Tuesday evening it wasn't showing on my tracking. I asked why this was the case, only to be told that it takes 2-3 business days for a return to show.

In the past, they would've just refunded my card and closed the return request. But if I didn't check my account today, I would've never gotten that money back because these MFs decided that Payfast is an EFT option and they would just leave it as a credit on my Takealot account "in case" I wanted to spend money with them again. I wasn't even informed that I needed to do their work for them and send the money back to my account myself. It would've just sat there. It's their sneaky way of forcing customers to re-spend whatever they wanted back, with them.

I've got exactly one more item I'm going to buy from them because I can't find it in the stores, but after that, I'm never buying from them again. I'll rather import and pay customs fees to Amazon. Can't wait for them to actually set up their operation here.
