Takealot inflated prices over Black Friday and refused to replace stock previously priced cheaper

I bought a Sennheiser RS 175 set of heaphones on 1 August 2019 for R2399. I have since returned it due to a fault that caused the sound to cut out intermittently for half a second at a time.

On receipt, Takealot told me that they cannot replace the set as they have no stock anymore. This despite the fact that they still had stock in CPT and JHB and even today still has stock in CPT ready to ship.

I suspect that the "reason" for them "not having stock", is because they advertised this set at an inflated price of over R3000 (with discount) during this Black Friday... In fact the set is currently priced at R3739 marked down from R4710... Just to repeat, I bought it for R2399 on 1 August 2019...

Takealot has since issued a refund to my credit card (yet to be received) and have ignored all attempts by me to get an explanation for their underhandedness and deceit.

I've been a customer of Takealot since 2006, but the underhanded way in which they are lately wheeling and dealing might see them lose a customer.
