Takealot horrible return service

I bought a Samsung flip Z flip 4 last year on Takealot. A few months ago my cellphone would switch off when I closed it. I logged a return on the takealot app on 11 August, my phone was collected and on the 13 August I received an email that I did not include the cable that came with phone. Takealot collected the cable and confirmed received the charging cable. On the 23 August I received the following email from Takalot "Just a quick update on your returned product below:

1 x Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 5G Single Sim 256GB

We've safely delivered it to our supplier who'll now review your warranty claim according to the terms of their manufacturing warranty.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT? We'll check in with the supplier regularly for updates on your claim and we'll keep you up to date every 2-3 days on its progress.

Once the supplier confirms that your product is eligible for a return, we'll go ahead and process the outcome they've approved. This could either be a credit, refund, repair or replacement.

It could take a few weeks for the supplier to review your claim. However, after 21 days from the date you logged your return, we'll be in touch to offer a credit/refund should you not want to wait for a repair/replacement from the supplier." After 21 days which was on the 1 September, I followed up about the status of my phone and I received the following response that because I did include the charging cable when I returned the phone, I needed to 6 more days to accommodate that. I waited the 6 days and when I followed up, I received a response that they are checking with the supplier and that my phone will be fixed and finalised on 6 September. I wrote back that their policy indicates that I have not received my goods after 21 I am eligible for a credit/refund but this did not happen and I was then told the something merchant not offering the credit or refund . I received my phone today after 38 days. And shortly I received it, I closed it to see if it has been fixed. Lo and behold, the back cover came off. I can see all the things inside my phone. I do not want this phone, this is a permanent damage that was caused during repairs. I have sent this information to Takealot and have not received any response.
