Takealot has no recourse against ****my sellers

Takealot makes use of third party sellers, but it does not create an avenue for recourse when such seller swindle people. When you buy something and get an inferior quality product that is not as the listing describes, you cannot say that in a review; it will be blocked. Takealot protects its sellers from this, but sellers are seemingly taking advantage of it. Buyers can no longer warn other buyers that they stand a good chance of being taken for a ride by a certain buyer.

For example, I bought a replacement screen that was described as 1080p FHD. The one that arrived was a lower native resolution 768p. EVEN THOUGH IT SAID 1080p on the packaging. The seller seems to hope the buyer does not notice. When returned I demanded it be replaced by a FHD screen, but I was credited instead because "the original item is no longer available at the the same price", which must be the defensive response from the seller. The original listing is still there, with the same description and the same price. Takealot has not communication avenue for this to be reported or discussed.

So be aware - The only reviews you will likely get on Takealot for ***** sellers are from people who they did not try their luck with.
