Takealot has lost its personal touch

I did not want the item replaced, but rather hoped for a message acknowledging that this is not acceptable practice and that the company will take steps to create awareness around the risk of reputational damage to the company.

It is unfortunate that there is no way in which to establish a clear line of communication with the company as the respondents to one's query changes as frequently as a baby's diaper.

It is regrettable that big companies lose the personal touch.

Apologies, I note the full issue was not captured above:

I ordered a box of 8 Frimax Salt and Vinigat chips which I collected from a pickup point with other items. Normally all is well with orders, but today when I opened the box, I noticed it was resealed and two packets of chips were missing. I did not wish to return the goods as it is what I ordered, and had already eaten two packs of the chips ourselves.I explained that, en-route to me the package was opened and two bags of chips were removed and I wished to bring this to your attention as to allow Takealot to be vigilant about such occurences in future. As the product is non-returnable I felt somewhat done in and just wanted to bring this to Takealot’s attention. My challenge was that over a period of 7 days, I received correspondence from no less than 5 different people, sending me back and forth to send pictures of the product bar code, etc., etc. only to then be told: “Sorry, you were supposed to return the package within 7 days, therefore there is nothing they can do about the situation.I did not want the item replaced, but rather hoped for a message acknowledging that this is not acceptable practice and that the company will take steps to create awareness around the risk of reputational damage to the company. It is unfortunate that there is no way in which to establish a clear line of communication with the company as the respondents to one's query changes as frequently as a baby's diaper.
