Takealot has a different meaning for "Guaranteed delivery"

<p>I have ordered a nice 55" uhd tv from them - order number ********** . When doing the checkout I was offered to buy for R35 a guaranteed delivery service for Friday the 9th.</p> <p>That day I made sure that some one was at home at all times (through quite a few calls and messages), not being a delivery I'd would want to miss. </p> <p> </p> <p>Long story short - no delivery, no feedback, no email, no text message, no call to at least try to explain why they couldn't deliver on their Guarantee.</p> <p> </p> <p>It's Saturday and still no reaction from anyone. In the meantime I opened an exchange request just out of principle. That was two hours ago - still no reaction. I ordered quite a few times from them before and I know this is atypical but I would have been super freaked out as a first time buyer.</p> <p> </p> <p>We should probably only stick to buying daily deals and nothing else. The service is generally good on those.</p> <p>This is how people lose their trust in brands.</p>
