Takealot "guaranteed same-day delivery'-****

I placed an order with Takealot with the extra payment on items for the 'guaranteed same day delivery', I even paid an extra amount on checkout for 'guaranteed same day delivery' on top of the extra amount on items. I basically paid double for a service to "guarantee" my same-day delivery.

My package was out for delivery and scheduled to arrive before 19:00.

I work from home, I was here the whole day as was my mom who is retired, no delivery vehicle was here, and at the time of this writing, 21:25, still no one.

I contacted support at 20:07 (time according to the email) and got a response back at 20:18 "Kindly note that I will be escalating your query to our delivery team in order to resolve your query. Once feedback is received, you will be notified accordingly." that was the last response. Not sure how Takealot can lose a driver, but it seemed to be the case or the staff is just biding their time to knock off at 22:00

Takealot's 'guaranteed same-day delivery' is a **** - they will not honor it even if you pay double for it.
