Takealot goods damaged in transit delays impact

I am very shocked and unimpressed. I ordered from Takealot and got a notification for my delivery for 29 Nov, I stayed at home all day waiting as per schedule, only to get a notification that my goods were damaged in transit. I now alert Takealot helpdesk that all those goods were for use on Saturday for a wedding and i no longer need them and should cancel the order, they keep sending me unclear emails and still scheduling a delivery that i clearly said i no longer need because of their delays on their side. I am still still trying to get some sort of clear assistance from them and nothing so far.
