TAKEALOT - GIVE A LITTLE ABOUT DELIVERIES!

I recently received a delivery from Takealot. It was a gift my sister bought for my son. This review is not about the package itself but rather about the delivery experience.

How many times a year do you 'Takealot' do an audit on your delivery suppliers, as the vehicle used to do this delivery would have had a difficult time passing a roadworthy test. The car came to a halt outside our house after a loud noise was coming from the car. I came outside to collect the package and tried to help to see what the problem was, after taking a look I noticed that the exhaust had seperated from the engine and needed urgent welding work done.

After I took delivery of the package, the driver couldn't start the car again, he said that he ran out of fuel. I then took him to the nearest garage so that he could get fuel, luckily he had a can in the car, after returning he managed to get the car going and I told him that he needs to get the exhaust welded or he will have bigger problems with the car down the line.

I felt sorry for this guy and I don't want to get him in trouble cause he is only trying to make a honest living, surely you guys can do a better job by either providing better delivery vehicles for your deliveries or paying these guys more so that they can also maintain their vehicles in a good running order. After all they are representing your brand, even though they might be a 3rd party supplier!
