TAKEALOT (False advertising)

Tried to purchase Fitbit Versa through Takealot via Price Check & Facebook link. Both advertise watch for R2989. When redirected to Takealot pg, price jumps to R3989. Non of these sites does it state limited stock. Understand if stock has run out, that price will revert back BUT this has been advertised for more than 48 hours (false advertising & misrepresentation). Not first complaint for Takealot or this product. Numerous social media complaints. See below a copied response which seems to ALWAYS be the standard answer from TAKELOT.

Hi Lezl, due to a high number of transactions Takealot handles per minute especially during this time of the year, the allocated stock for that particular promotion may run out quickly, which is why the price reverts back to normal.

Must be std reply but problem is NEVER rectified & the price is never honoured to make for happy customers
