Takealot Driver position

Hi...i hae tried to get Takealot contact details with no success so i though i should post here. I wanted to register for a driver position within your company. I was advised on all the documents required and i had prepared them. A guy rep**** to my application and we set up a date for an interview however that date passed without him getting back to me to confirm it. So, i drove to your offices in Pretoria Hatfiel to register, however i was told that i also need to pay R600 for Police clearance and Roadworthy vehicle inspection. My main question is that is this real? Do i need to pay the R600 and also i thought my vehicle registration documents which act as requirements are proof enough to show the status of that vehicle. Your quick advise will be much appreciated as i really need to register and apply. my contact ***
