TAKEALOT doesn't trust you

I received an item from Takealot - a TV Stand- that had clearly been previously opened by someone else and returned to them - I should have returned it as soon as the damaged packaging indicated there may be a problem. However as a long standing customer I trusted that they would not deliver to me a defective product. I NEVER opened the package but returned it a few days later completely as I received it as I found the feet for the TV and no longer needed a stand. I received an email from TAKEALOT rejecting my return as the product had been opened - they had a photograph of this - I never opened the item and disputed that they had opened the item and they could prove this as their drivers always take a photograph when they collect a return. They have refused to disclose this photograph to me and have returned the now unwanted item together with an email advising I can go to the CGSO to dispute the matter. Such appalling service that completely negates and ignores the customers honesty and loyalty to their brand. No wonder their trust rating is so low.
