Takealot does not care about your privacy

<p>I purchased a Samsung 128Gb Micro SD card from Takealot, which went into a Read-Only mode within less than a year. Since the card is Read-Only, information cannot be added or deleted. Even a low-level format does not delete the information. I requested from Takealot to have the card independently verified as faulty by a company of their choice locally before I return it. I also requested to return the card cut in half, as is permitted by Samsung in Europe in the case of the card containing confidential information. I am not prepared to send all my information, including banking details etc. to total strangers and expose myself to possible identity theft or ***** against myself exceeding the value of the card. I would think twice before purchasing such an item again from Takealot. Their privacy policies are backward and they truly do not care or even try to understand. They assured me that my information would not be accessed (not sure how they are going to test it then), but this is not a perfect world and human nature is always a factor, especially in this country. They expect me to blindly trust that "the suppliers are not allowed to access the information on any card." And ****** theft and ***** are also not allowed in South Africa, that leaves me feeling so relieved.</p>
