Takealot, do they really have a lot?

So Black Friday came and with it Cyber Money. So I needed a Sandisk Dual drive for work purposes. Takealot seemed to be the answer. Close in case of problems with a high capacity drive and of cause a good price. Stock would be 2-5 days away. So I trusted them and ordered it. The days went past. Seen numerous other places in the mean time that also had stock and for a good price, but was content with my choice of place to spend company money.

So the account showed order ready for collection approximately 7th December. No update Saturday . No update Sunday the 8th. Monday I received a E-mail that my order have been cancelled. Supplier did not have stock when I ordered it apparently. That I found out after I phoned them.

Great service, funny how Takealot sell things that their website says they have, but don't. I worked in IT retail for 10 years. If a supplier did not have stock I would know strait away. Phoning suppliers or by email I had the answer 2 days max. Takealot tasks a week to figure out their supplier does not have stock.
