TAKEALOT - DELAY IN COLLECTION
I purchased 5 dvd's from TAKE ALOT. After a long delay, the items were delivered on the 12th February 2018. One of the DVD's was not up to satisfaction. I logged in a return immediately. I got notification that the item will be picked up by 5pm on the 13th February 2018. No one came to pick up the returned item.
There was a lot of email correspondence on this delay with TAKEALOT. Always with the same response. The matter will be escalated.
I spoke to a consultant whom passed on the responsibility to the collections section. I got mail from Elanor Ndhlovu and Calvin Mogotlane promising a lot but delivering nothing.
I logged a return for the same product again on the 23rd February 2018.
I got a response that the goods will be delivered by Monday 26th February 2018 before 5pm. I wrote to TAKEALOT at 4.45pm on the 26th February 2018 informing them that the goods were not picked up as yet. It also meant that another entire day wasted as I had to sit at home waiting for the goods to be picked up.
As I write this mail, 28th February 2018, 10.32pm the DVD has still not been picked up.
I now receive a mail from Tashreeqah Dreyer that the collection will be collected today. Can I really believe him/her. I have now interacted with 4 staff of TAKEALOT on a collection of 1 DVD. UNBELIEVABLE
TAKEALOT is a very poor example for the on-line industry. It has turned me away from doing any business on-line. If I am having such a problem for 1 dvd can you imagine the problem returning a TV or any large appliance.
The Government authorities need to have a serious look at this industry. As long as they are not collecting goods the funds are in their account earning interest. This is a ****.
