Takealot : Data Breach of Personal Informationn

On 6 May 2025 cameras ordered from Takealot was delivered, it was not correct and return was locked for 7 May 2025. On 7 May 2025 early morning a courier guy arrived. He informed Ms. Koekemoer that he was from Takelot and collecting the return parcel whereby he gave her the return number which match the number we received from Takealot. 2 hours later another guy from Takealot arrived to collect same parcel, was informed that it was already collected. The same afternoon a sms received stating return declined. We could not understand this and immediately contacted takelot to enquire what is know going on as parcel was collected. We were I formed it will be escalated and feedback will be given. Since 7 May 2025 we have been calling and sending emails to find out what happened as we are waiting for refund. We wanted to know Who was this person, How did he know there is a Takelot parcel to be collected at our address, Where did he get our address and How did he know the exact return number?.. This was a data breach if our personal information. Everything the same message they are escalating it and we follow up. It is more than a monthn and We are know informed that this courier guy is not from them and we can not be assisted nor refunded for the items collected to the amount of R936. It is with great disappointment that till date they cannot tell us how did this unknown Takealot guy got hold of our personal information as he could only have gotten it from then. Takealot must take responsibility for this and is turning a blind eye...this also place a security risk to us know...How did our personal data leak out and how did this person new all the correct information when parcel was collected. We need assistance from Hellopeter irt mentioned matter as Takealot does not care about there customers or safety and must be held accountable. Customers need to be cautioned about this.... If the person had all the correct information how where we suppose to know he is not from Takealot
